Ich bin ein
ehemalige P6 Eigner. (1968-1978) Ich bin aus England aber ich habe
einige Jahre in Deutschland gewohnt. Ich bin 6 Monate lang mit meinem
P6 in Hessen im Jahr 1976. Sonst habe ich in Deutschland deutsche
Autos gefahren mit eine Ausnahme. Ich habe zwei Jahre lang einen SD1
gehabt. Diesen Wagen habe ich als Schleppwagen für mein Boot gekauft.
Ich bin jetzt 10 Jahre in England zurück und fahre jetzt ein Rover 75.
This is a good car and has never caused me any problems. With my SD1 I
did all my own repairs and took out the gearbox to change the clutch.
It had Dunlop disc brakes and I remember one cylinder seizing up. The
unbalanced force on the front disc sheared it off when I braked! And
changed the pads on those inboard rear discs - what a job! The
universal joints on the rear half shafts used to give me trouble too.
The gear lever came of in my hand when I was in Germany - it's all
coming back now!! But I also had some good erotic adventure in that
old car. The fully reclining front passenger seat was a big bonus.

Superb site,
bordering on the obsessive! But who can blame you? I had the pleasure
of a 3500 auto in 1989 (scarab blue) and it's still my favourite car
even after several audis, bmws and mercedes. I am on the lookout for a
good one now. I don't drive to work and I usually fly to travel,
therefore a car is just for local hacking and shopping so I might even
be brave enough to have one as my only transport. I think the word is
charisma. Also quite a pratical beast even now. |

Schaltgetriebe das V8 Drehmoment? Wo sind die besonders aufwendigen
Schwachstellen? Offensichtlich ist eine Überholung der innenliegenden
hinteren Bremsscheiben /Sättel eine größere Sache. Worauf sollte/muß

Hitzschlag für
den armen Rover!!! Das war nun definitiv zuviel für den weissen Rover
P6 1972 mit tadellosem gepflegtem Motor und Kühler: bei weit über 30
Grad Celsius Hitze im Städtestau der kleinen Schweizer Stadt Zug kams
zum Kollaps. Der Motor stellte einfach ab.... Selbst bei flotter
Ueberfahrt mit zwei Personen war der Temparaturzeiger weit über dem
sonstigen Durchschnitt. Der hübsche Brite liebt eben kühlere Zeiten.

Hallo! Schöne
Grüsse aus Good Old Austria. Bin überrascht, wie schnell die
"Buschtrommeln" im web funktionieren. Ich hab´s geschafft, ein wunder
schönes Auto zu ersteigern.Die P6 Serie begeistert mich seit ca. 20

car and have another one for a project that is having a Lexus V8
fitted with a GM Th200-4R auto transmission. Have two 1971 P6B parts

Herr Wicke, ich kann Ihnen nur gratulieren zu Ihrer Seite. Ich habe
schon viele Seiten gesehen, aber Ihre ist umwerfend. Ich besitze
selber einen P6 3500 aus dem Jahre 1976. Das Fahrzeug ist in absolut
neuwertigem Zustand mit einigen Ausnahmen wie Abnützung der
Vinyl-Teile hinten an den C-Säulen, aber ich denke, das darf auch
ruhig sein mit 197.365 km und über 26 Jahren, auch gewisse kleinere
Lackschäden weist das Fahrzeug auf, welche ich in der kommenden
Wintersaison beheben werde. Kleiner Tip: ein paar Bilder würden Ihrer
Seite sicher noch den letzten Schliff verpassen. Hochachtungsvoll

is awaiting a moderate amount of work. I have spare parts for trade
and would like to know of any reliable sources for nos parts or good
quality aftermarket ones at a reasonable price. I have owned Rovers
since 1972 and although I have not driven mine for some years I intend
to return it there in the not to distant future. It needs brake work
and an exhaust system. I will send some photographs when I have a
